A local church rooted in Christ.

We exist to know Jesus, follow Him, and lead others to do the same, pursuing the well-being of the city God has placed us in.

Meet Our Pastor

Called to build a church.

Preston Dunn is the founding pastor of Our City Church. After building and selling a successful national business, Preston sensed God’s call to leave the marketplace and pastor Our City Church. He has a passion for helping people know and follow Christ through discipleship, and walking through life together.

Preston and his wife Brittany have a heart for discipling whole families and building a church that is rooted where God has planted it: reaching as many people as possible with the hope of Jesus Christ.

Preston and Brittany have been married for 17 years and are raising four children who love the Lord.

Our mission

Our mission shapes the way we worship, grow, serve, and share the Gospel in Wheat Ridge and beyond.

Know Jesus, follow Him, and lead others to do the same.

Our Values

Our values are derived from our mission.

Follow Him

Serve Intentionally

1 Peter 4:10 (CSB) — “Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others.”

Surrender to Him

Luke 9:23 (CSB) — “If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Lead Others

Proclaim the Gospel

Mark 16:15 (CSB) — “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Multiply Disciples

2 Timothy 2:2 (CSB) — “Commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

Why plant a church?

Over 60% of people in Jefferson County have no connection to any faith, and fewer than 10% regularly attend a gospel-preaching church. Many neighbors are living without the hope, peace, and purpose found in knowing Jesus.

Answering the call together.

Jesus is the head of His Church. We are an elder-led, congregationally governed church family committed to sound doctrine, humble care, and making disciples. Our aim is simple: preach the Word, love our neighbors, and live on mission together.
